ACW Tag Champions The Now Face Sent 2 Slaughter in Steel Cage at Reckoning

Awesome Championship Wrestling holds its Reckoning event Saturday at the MJN Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. ACW tag team champions Vik Dalishus and Hale Collins, known as The Now, defend their titles against Danny Maff and Shawn Donovan of Sent 2 Slaughter inside a steel cage. The champions aim to conclude their long-running rivalry with the challengers.

The card features IWGP global heavyweight champion Andrade, NWA world historic middleweight champion Flip Gordon, ACW women's champion Steph De Lander, TNA's Indi Hartwell, MLW's Lady Frost, Richard Holliday and Ben Bishop. Dalishus and Collins, who promote ACW, described the feud as personal after Sent 2 Slaughter disrupted Dalishus's wedding and Collins's Hall of Fame ceremony at Johnny Rodz’s wrestling school. The rivals previously clashed across Northeast promotions, including a title win for The Now at WrestlePro, and once met in a steel cage where their manager Josh Shernoff turned on them.

ACW launched its first show in January 2025 at the MJN Center, a venue with wrestling history including WWF, WWE, ECW, NXT and TNA events. Dalishus and Collins credit the site's partnerships and production quality-lighting, camera work and backstage professionalism-for the promotion's growth from a near-financial loss to drawing crowds through walk-up sales and a YouTube series of matches and previews.

Reckoning includes inductions of "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Mike Bell into the MJN Center’s Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. The champions view the cage match as the feud's final chapter, with the winner settling the dispute.
