Marcellus Wiley faces four new sexual assault accusations
Four women, including a former ESPN production assistant, have accused former NFL player Marcellus Wiley of sexual assault in court filings submitted last month. The claims bring the total number of accusers to seven. Wiley, a former ESPN analyst, denied the allegations on his YouTube channel Tuesday, calling them "blatant lies."
Wiley first faced accusations in November 2023, which he dismissed as "BS." Two additional women came forward in March 2024. The latest accuser, the former production assistant, alleged Wiley lured her to his hotel room in 2009 under the pretense of a work meeting, then assaulted her by force, as detailed in her statement reported by Awful Announcing. Another accuser claimed Wiley raped her on her 18th birthday after grooming her from age 13; she said they met when he played for the Buffalo Bills and the incident occurred in Dallas during his Cowboys tenure.
Wiley, a defensive lineman who played for the Bills and Cowboys among other teams, argued evidence shows the accusers continued contact with him after the alleged incidents. He cited emails, texts and invitations as proof contradicting their claims.
